Typical Reseller Data Recovery Procedure
- You Receive the Device
You receive a faulty device or a customer enquiry for data recovery.
- Preliminary Quotation
You supply your customer with a preliminary quotation based on our recommended retail price per our reseller pricelist.
- You could add your mark-up if you wish - keeping in mind that if the customer approached us directly, we would quote them our recommended retail price.
- You can also contact us (should you prefer) to confirm the pricing.
- The purpose of the preliminary quotation is to commit your customer to the costs associated with sending the drive to us.
- Ship the Device
If your customer is satisfied with the preliminary quotation, you can ship the drive to us, or we can arrange a collection via our complimentary courier service.
- Our complimentary courier service does not include:
- Laptops
- Desktop Computers
- Servers
- In the case of server recoveries, we would require the following:
- All disk drives in the server.
- These drive sequences (order) must be marked before being removed from the server (critical).
- We Receive the Device
We received the drive(s) and should be able to email you a written confirmation quotation within 8-10 working hours, depending on the service option required and the complexity of the work.
- Final Quotation
You then send a confirmation quotation (including your reseller mark-up) to your customer, who supplies you with final approval (preferably in writing).
- Obtain Approval
You can email us to confirm the final approval or approve the quotation via our support portal.
- No data recovery work will be undertaken without your approval unless you mark the work as pre-approved.
- The Data Recovery
We complete the data recovery.
- On average, this takes 3-8 working days under our STANDARD recovery rate.
- We do not return the faulty recovered drive; however, we could return what is left of the drive should you require it.
- We will send you a report via email if we cannot recover any data.
- We will also again contact you should we not be able to recover all the data required.
- The data will be transferred to a destination drive of adequate capacity supplied by yourself (or your customer), or we can quote for any drive currently available.
- Payment
We send you an invoice via email, awaiting confirmation of payment.
- We Return the Recovered Data
We will return the data, or you may arrange for collection upon receipt of payment. We can also arrange for delivery via our complimentary courier service.
